Dynamic Systems Modeling
Please note: The Dynamic Systems Modeling Expert Meeting will not be held at the main conference venue. Instead it will be held at the University of Aberdeen's historic King's College campus.
This expert meeting is picking up the torch from the Dynamic Systems Modeling conference organized by Emily Butler and Kobus Barnard in 2014. Then as now, the goal is to facilitate greater collaboration between social/health scientists (who have theories and big data sets relevant to social interaction) and computational scientists (who have the mathematical sophistication and computational power to develop and test complex theories with big data sets). We hope to bring together leaders from both communities to foster discussion, sharing of resources, and cumulative knowledge production. We are planning an expert meeting format capped at 60 attendees, including brief presentations from all attendees, structured small-group interactions, and opportunities for informal social exchange. The expert meeting will take place Wednesday/Thursday August 17/18, 2016, organized by Niall Bolger, Gertraud (Turu) Stadler, and Derek Johnston.
