Weather

Scotland's position with the sea on three sides means that the weather can vary greatly. In August the weather can be glorious, but prepare for rapid shifts between sunshine and rain and sunshine again, often within the same day – there is a reason why in Scotland talking about the weather never gets old. The climate is pleasantly mild, with an average high temperature of 17ºC and average low temperature of 10ºC. For more information please visit the Metoffice or the BBC Weather forecast.
